Our Enemy

AMERICA NEEDS TO RECOGNIZE ITS ENEMY

America needs to get to know a bit about Satan.  I met a man who made a deal with Satan…or at least he tried to make a deal with him.  You can’t make deals with Satan because he is deceitful at his core.  He won’t lose a negotiation because nothing binds him.  He has no shred of honor.  The man I met made a deal with Satan to live in wealth for 26 years.  At the end of the 26 years he would die.  After making the deal, Satan informed the man that day and night each count separately, so the 26 years would really be finished in 13 years.  Sorry.  That’s what it’s like interacting with Satan.

Satan tries to change words in order to push lies into our lives.  When words change, we begin campaigning for things that are the exact opposite of what we really intend.  We become our own worst enemy.  Well, except for Satan himself.  I offer this example:  A man loves his child.  He wants to insure safety for his child.  He becomes aware of a safety pill that protects children.  He buys the pills for his child and offers them to his neighbors.  He becomes a promoter of ‘safety pills’.  Only after months of use does he realize that the safety pills shorten the lives of people who drink them.  Had the pills been called ‘death pills’, no one would have swallowed them.  But, with the name safety pills, people drank their own death.

Our society is changing the meaning of words.  I offer these suggestions as you read the news:

Words:                    New definitions:

extremist                 a person with any conviction

Victorian                  one who believes past generations had some things right

moral                       judgmental

judgmental              when you hold to a belief in something even if your friends don’t

basher                   one who offers an honest doubt to a popular idea

ignorant                 when you believe something your parents believed

backwards           unwilling to forsake a belief system others have forsaken since last week

Christian                  deserving of scorn

Muslim                   deserving of understanding

religion                   evil

evil                      deserving of research and understanding…except for certain religions

wrong                  doesn’t exist…it’s an expired concept for us moderns

child molestation    wrong…without hesitation…everyone knows that…molesters are Satan

Satan                     doesn’t exist…part of a Hebrew fairy tale

sex                     fun that is in no way related to commitment of any kind

commitment         un-necessary burden…a tool of past generations used to create guilt

marriage              a public declaration of sexual activity

truth                     whatever you choose it to be, it’s all relative

lie                        there really is no such thing, it’s all relative

God                   a great big lie
