Times spent here in the US are often encouraging due the neat 'stuff' I accumulate while here.
I now have a model of the Hebrew Tabernacle that I will take with me to Haiti. I acquired it the same month that I acquired a series of lessons in Haitian Creole that teach the many lessons of the tabernacle! I've wanted to do this again for years now. We did it long ago in the church in Haiti. God has now given us the pieces to do it again. I now have many parts to a drum set that will allow me to teach drums and hold real rehearsals at the ASAPH Teaching Center. I now have many DVD concerts that will expose my music students to great music. I now have two copies of Pilgrim's Progress on DVD. It's a great story that blesses people who learn it. THANKS to every ASAPH sponsor for sharing your wealth with this ministry. You make these acquisitions possible. PRAY that they will bless people and draw them closer to JESUS CHRIST! PLUS! We have a buzzer that will allow is to do academic and Bible competitions is a fun, fair, motivating way!!!!!

Glory to God for: steady percussion, solid bass, creative and accurate keyboarding, some sweet doo-waps, and rockin' guitars! Give thanks to the Lord, He's good. His love never ends. Asaph sang that. We do, too. It was also a profitable evening for the ministry. Once again we raised some valuable financial support. We also made connections with brothers and sisters in West York. We brought a bit of attention to the special folks that I work with in Haiti, and most importantly, we glorified the name of God. I turn my eyes to a future concert. Lot's to dream about. I've got a violinist friend I'd love to invite. I'd love to do a latin percussion feature in that we've got three or four percussionists available to us now. AND, if I keep practicing my trumpet, I'd love to play a Mexican Mariachi tune with Craig! IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN HOSTING AN ASAPH CONCERT, CONTACT US!! After a few weeks here in America, I can't help but write about the drastic changes that I feel in this country. It's clear now that America 2013 is not the country in which our parents grew up.
I feel a constant push from what I call THE MACHINE. THE MACHINE is Hollywood and media. Every show, every report, every story is pushing an agenda! It is repulsive! And ironic. What THE MACHINE condemns is the conservative, Christian, right. They condemn us because we force our opinions on others. Yet, that is precisely what they do! THE MACHINE condemns Christians for being thick-headed and arrogant. Yet, they arrogantly declare that God is a falsehood. THE MACHINE condemns preaching morality, but spend 24-hours each day preaching their own twisted morality of tolerance and anti-racism. Here's a thought. Our country and culture is in danger. There is a global warming that needs to be addressed. It's not carbon gas. It's sin. Increased sin, promotion of sin, and glorification of sin will indeed raise the temperature of this planet. More sin will bring more pain. More rebellion will bring more tragedy. GIRSH -- God Is Real, Seek Him! |
